The working principle consists in: the mechanism has a steel ball located on a base, which, due to the motions of the earthquake, makes the ball move from the support center to lock the mechanism. The weight of the ball is used to close down the gas supply. The spring helps to close the flap valve and the gas pressure helps keep the flap closed. The locking mechanism is set and sealed at the factory. The valve is fitted with a visor for viewing open / closed functioning position.
The advantage of this type of valve is that it does not need to be supplied with electricity and it’s very reliable.
